About Me
My name is Lance Hardy. I've been involved in web sites one way or another for what seems like an eternity. Okay, how about ten years or so.
I started like a lot of people - fumbling with FrontPage like a prehistoric ape-man wielding a bone after a visit from the monolith. That thankfully brief period led to a stint of Dreamweaver addiction which I was finally able to kick when exposed to proprietary development systems (Cold Fusion for example) and finally more open web friendly languages. Today I'm a CSS addict and proud of it.
I have had a great deal of experience working with great web based companies, among them Avenir Systems (financial systems for the utility industry), Alpine Internet Solutions (general web solutions based on a proprietary content management system), and Emagineering (web solutions for the hospitality industry). The roles I have played have been varied - among them webmaster, server administrator, web development director, art director, graphic designer, coffee maker. And always I have worked hard to develop independent projects and served many personal clients.
I certainly didn't set out to be so, but I find myself in the unique position of being a triple threat in the web services arena. 1) I can design my way out of a paper bag. 2) I can spec and build a web site solution based on different languages, catering to a multitude of needs. 3) I am a photographer. I have supplied photography services for countless clients needing great photography for their web sites and beyond.
